SiREM
Ms. Ashworth is a Scientist focusing on bench-scale batch and column treatability study management. SiREM maintains state-of-the-art treatability, molecular testing, passive sampler preparation, and microbial culture development facilities. Kela is an environmental scientist with an Honours Bachelor Degree of Science in Chemcial Physics from the University of Guelph. Over the past 10 years Kela has managed numerous bench-scale studies evaluating remediation technologies for contaminants including chlorinated solvents, petroleum hydrocarbons, metals and other recalcitrant compounds in soil, sediment, and groundwater. She has also been involved in developing protocols for evaluating new technologies in the laboratory (i.e., electrokinetics, combined chemical oxidation chemistries and new analyical techniques). Kela has several years of PFAS experience and was a lead member on several in-house research and development projects investigating PFAS behavior in environmental media and bioremediation.
