Adria Lau is currently a Ph.D. student in the department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) at Colorado School of Mines. She received her bachelor’s degrees from the University of Washington in environmental science and art history. Her current research focuses on high pressure membrane treatment to remove per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs) from contaminated water sources such as groundwater. Outside of the lab, Adria enjoys the stereotypical Colorado activities: camping, hiking, and climbing.
