Justin Sankey is a third year Ph.D. student working in Dr. Rainer Lohmann's Laboratory at the University of Rhode Island Graduate School of Oceanography. They received their Bachelors of Art in Environmental Studies and Chemistry from Lawrence University in 2022. Their research predominantly focuses on the the validation of sorbent materials of the remediation of Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances from water. Additionally their research focuses on the bioaccumulation and transformation of PFAS in New England-based kelp aquaculture.
