Dr. Katherine Manz is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Environmental Health Sciences at the University of Michigan. Her research interests include understanding the fate of chemicals in the environment and how these chemicals and their transformation products influence human health. She completed her undergraduate degree in Chemistry at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in 2013, then pursued her M.S. in Environmental Engineering (2016) and Ph.D. in Energy Science and Engineering (2018) at The Bredesen Center for Interdisciplinary Research and Graduate Education, a partnership between the University of Tennessee and Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL). From 2018-2021, Dr. Manz completed a post-doctoral research fellowship as part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award (NRSA) (T32) program at Brown University.
