Dr Prashant Srivastava is a Senior Research Scientist and Soil Contaminant Chemist in the Environment Research Unit of the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) – the national science agency of Australia. His research interests include understanding the fate and behaviour of chemicals of emerging concern such as PFAS, tyre rubber chemicals and e-wastes in environmental matrices, including soil, water, concrete, asphalt, biosolids and tyre rubber. In addition, his research focuses on the beneficial use of waste and the circular economy. In collaboration with industry and government stakeholders, his research group has helped Australian regulatory agencies develop guidance on the assessment of environmental contaminants.
