Sandra Dworatzek, M.Sc., is a Senior Principal Scientist at SiREM with over 30 years of experience in environmental remediation. She specializes in the laboratory evaluation of remedial technologies for chlorinated solvents, petroleum hydrocarbons, and emerging contaminants. Sandra leads the development and scale-up of microbial cultures for bioaugmentation and provides senior technical oversight for laboratory treatability studies. Her work includes development and scale up new bioaugmentation cultures including KB-1® , KB-1® Plus, DGGTM Plus, and DXO-88TM microbial cultures that have been widely used in field demonstrations to improve the rate and extent of bioremediation in groundwater for chlorinated solvents, BTEX, and 1,4-Dioxane.
