Yukun Jin is a University of Notre Dame PhD candidate in Chemistry, investigating PFAS in drinking water. Over four years, she developed a streamlined method using Particle-induced Gamma-ray Emission (PIGE) spectroscopy to rapidly screen for PFAS in water samples. She has tested hundreds of real-world samples in diverse matrices and continues to refine these techniques for practical use. Yukun has presented her results at several ACS conferences and is scheduled to present at SETAC North America, showcasing her expertise and dedication.
